Greetings to you all

This weekend brings a couple of special opportunities to link up for fun, good fellowship and food and outdoors activities. The men’s ministry event for Saturday morning is open to men and their friends, including teens, age 13 or over. Join for the breakfast at 8:00 AM, fellowship and our outdoor event. Then on Sunday, Liberty ladies are linking up to go hiking after church. Thanks to Heidi and Laken for leading this special event. Call or text Laken for more info.
I’m writing to you this evening as the sunshine is brightening the landscape immediately after a fierce thunderstorm. The contrast between just an hour ago and now is pretty dramatic. Lightning and loud claps of thunder came so rapidly, it sure looked like the storm would stay a while, but in no time, it moved on, rain stopped, and this sunlight seems especially proud of having taken charge again.
Lots of things in life are like this. Changes occur sometimes much more quickly than we might have expected. Weather is unpredictable (in spite of state-of-the-art meteorology) and part of the rhythm that God gives us to help cope with uncertainty is to know that His sunlight, the powerful grace that is always available in Christ, comes bursting through because Jesus is LORD.
Simply knowing that we can always trust our living Savior in the midst of any storm is the starting point for new bold steps of faith. It’s our goal for Liberty Church to be a place where friends and guests find a safe, encouraging environment for asking questions, sharing goals and dreams and taking new steps of faith. Whether in a one-on-one conversation or in group fellowships such as the activities this weekend, the blessing of making new friends and strengthening the bonds of fellowship is truly rich.
We’re grateful for each of you who open doors for others through your giving, vision, caring and acts of serving both here at church and in your work, family and community pursuits.
