Greetings to you all

At the start of a weekend leaning into one of those Monday federal holidays, I hope that whatever extra time is part of your work schedule is especially enjoyable and productive.
In light of what MLK Day commemorates, we can truly say that Dr. King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech has a fresh relevance for this generation. In the midst of the controversies of our day, the distinctive brilliance of Dr. King’s words are even more valuable than ever.
Here’s just one snippet from that is as up-to-the-minute as it could possibly be in light of many current events:
“Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.
We must not be guilty of wrongful deeds.
We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline.
We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence.”
(Dr. Martin L. King @ the Lincoln Memorial, August 1963)
🦅 May your weekend also bring a time of rest, renewal and refreshing!
We’re so grateful for the care and kindness that many of you give to make each welcoming Sunday as warm as it can be, despite the weather!
Honestly, the best reward for each of those who prepare to teach children or serve in the worship, media, security or Cafe Liberty teams is seeing YOU! ☺️
In these busy days that lead into tax preparation season, we also want to thank all of you for the generous support of your church. As the contribution records go out for the year just past, we deeply appreciate all the ways your giving, along with your time, talent and thoughtfulness, expresses God’s love in practical ways through church life.
Online giving for church has also been so helpful as well as being a secure and convenient option for stewardship:
Here’s that link: Giving
In honor of Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, we invite you to share our special offering for two excellent non-profit organizations in our region. We’ll receive an offering on Sunday for both, and I’m including their websites here, including the giving portals, as well:
Bring a friend and join us Sunday:

“The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit
Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit,
Because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
(Romans 8:26-27 NIV)
