Operation Christmas Child Drop-off Week ~ November 17th-24th
[Note: Our Fellowship Hall and Office space is where the shoeboxes will be collected and stored through Mon the 24th when we load a truck with the larger cartons for transporting to the Baltimore OCC distribution center. Most volunteer serving times are filled – there’s an opening on Thursday the 20th for one volunteer and openings for a couple more to help load the truck on Monday morning, November 24th. Faith Quest Report!
It was such a joy to see boys and girls experiencing “missions” in a hands-on way last evening. Thanks to all who helped in this first phase of Operation Christmas Child outreach. Here’s a note from Laken Green with a few snapshots:
Last night the kids at church did their first mission outreach as part of the new mid-week kids ministry, packing 42 boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We had a packing party and the kids had such a blast. To wrap up the night, we prayed over the boxes. What a blessing to see these kids growing with Jesus! They were hopeful that the children receiving their boxes would like them, and I pray that they will continue to follow Jesus as they grow up.
Many thanks to all the adults who volunteered to help as well to make sure it was a successful night!
Now, I’m really ready to be in the Christmas spirit!
