Greetings to you all

With such good weather today and even better forecast for the next three days, it’s going to be a superb weekend.
A few updates here for everyone’s calendars as we enter the autumn season:
  1. Water baptism orientation class:
    Tuesday, September 23rd @ 7:00 PM.
It’s pure joy for me to meet adults, teens and/or children and their parents to cover a few key points for water baptism that every follower of Jesus needs to know. I love the fact that the Great Commission of Jesus touches every age group. Following the Lord in baptism is a blessing-for-life that we celebrate whenever we have the opportunity to share it. This brief orientation class is free to all – no obligation to get questions answered. Register on the sign-up sheet on our Connections Table (next to Offering Box)

  2. Special projects ~ gratitude for contributors and coordinators:
    A.  With our deepest thanks to Jerry and Patty Reese for all their work on the upgrade of our church entry area, Cafe Liberty space and adjacent rooms and stairwells is on pace for completion this week. Flooring materials have acclimate in the work space for a few days first, so you’ll see supplies for the flooring job(s) just inside the sanctuary doors.
    B. SO much work has already gone into upgrading the WiFi service in the church building for better live-streaming, easier use of the Internet by guests as well as staff and security applications. Many thanks to Ian, Brian, Jonathan and Jessica and other volunteers for all the planning, research and crawling through attics (!) that this project requires.
  3. Share our faith-goal for Challenge Farm/Kitale Kenya, East Africa!
Our partnership in faith for the basic food supplies needed for Challenge Farm’s kitchens continues. We’re excited to offer a fast and effective way for any giver to help supply the basics for every meal served to over 200 children and staff! We still need $8600 for bags of corn and beans – in this African season of harvest
Donate $38 for or a bag of beans or $100 for a bag of corn, or any multiple of those amounts in support of Challenge Farm’s inventory for daily food preparation!
Use a Liberty Church envelope and designate CF on the “Missions” line of the envelope. OR write “CF Food” on any check to designate all or a portion of your gift to Challenge Farm. For any such offerings, 100% goes directly to the specified project or (if unspecified) to Challenge Farm’s general operating expenses.
Liberty’s love….for Carroll County! A core value of our church family has been to cheer on and support those organizations, ministries and programs in whose work contributes to enriching community life. One opportunity we always support is a request for volunteers such as this one from LifeBridge.

A new volunteer care and service opportunity: LifeBridge/Carroll Hospital is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join its Volunteer Program. Whether you’re retired, have flexible time, or simply feel called to serve, there are a variety of meaningful opportunities available including greeting visitors, assisting in the gift shops, supporting patients and families, and more.
Flexible shifts and a supportive team make this a rewarding way to serve in your community.
To fill out an online application, go to www.lifebridgehealth.org/carrollvolunteer or call 410-871-6535

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up. Do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
I provide water there to give drink to my people, my chosen,
the people I have formed for Myself that they may proclaim my praise.”
(Isaiah 43:18-19, 20b-21 NIV)
