Greetings to you all
It’s such a joy to have brothers in Christ gathering for breakfast and fellowship today @ 8:00 AM and we’re grateful for those who are organizing this and for next week’s ladies breakfast @ 9:00 AM on Saturday, February 22nd.
Welcome to Cafe Liberty tomorrow, February 16th, anytime in the half hour prior to 10:15 AM Worship. We’re so grateful for the caring friends who prepare coffee, juice and treats for these times together.
When I shared in the last couple of Sundays about the vision and priorities of our congregational life, I did so with renewed gratitude for each of the new endeavors taking place among us. We deeply appreciate the initiatives several members of the body have taken on in these last few weeks, especially the rest room remodeling project that two couples have taken on and the extra time that media team members put into quietly improving the technology that serves our goals for the Gospel to reach the hearts of people in the most effective way.
I’ve mentioned before that leaders and generous givers who walk by faith to bless others often ask to remain anonymous. We honor that while we also give thanks for the guidance of the Holy Spirit through the gifts of dedicated servants of the Lord to bless and edify the life of the church.
I’ve jokingly said many times that I’m a “church-a-holic”, simply because I believe Jesus loves His church (and all its authentic expressions) with an undying, energizing, creative love. A test of every Christian’s loyalty to Jesus is how he or she treats this living organism we call “church”. I believe the design God has set in place in Scripture is for real churches to sparkle as jewels in His Kingdom. I believed that as a teenager when the dynamic impact of a church body with a clear vision for helping believers grow in God’s Word became the “sailing vessel” that carried me to a new place in my understanding of God’s purpose for my life.
Since then, the most rewarding discoveries I’ve made in life have come from seeing that same simple goal put into action in spite of many obstacles that every church faces.
Every positive change that comes through Spirit-empowered ministry in the Body of Christ begins with simple steps of faith. Often the “gift” in a believer’s life that matters most is cultivated and deployed in obscurity. The prayers, faithfulness, generosity, investments of time and talent that enrich every congregational season are priceless.
To all who are serving Liberty Church with your gifts, I can echo exactly the words of the Apostle Paul when he said:
“I have derived much joy and comfort from your love….
because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by through you.”
(Philemon 1:7 ESV)

“For all the promises of God find their ‘Yes’ in Jesus Christ.
That is why it is through Him that we utter our ‘Amen’ to God for His glory!”
