Making new friends and spreading good news offers new opportunities for faith-in-action each week!

We’ve got an odd lot of concerns and updates for you today – so to keep it brief, I’ll list a few of these to invite everyone’s prayer and participation:

1. We welcome Josiah Nusbaum leading worship tomorrow – join us!
2. Tomorrow’s Kids Classes are Week 2 of great new curriculum for students in each age group – Explorers with Route 66 and Pathfinder with Bible-land! How we love to see these young learners experiencing their own encounter with God’s Word!
3. Maryland General Assembly 2023 Session has now begun – we ask your prayers for Justin Ready as this senate session ramps up.
4. Praise & Prayer Gathering here on Wednesday, January 18th at 6:45 PM: Heartfelt needs and concerns we bring to the LORD in expectant prayer!
5. Lift up Cheri Thompson in prayer for healing and grace upon her recovery from surgery for a broken femur, in Winston-Salem NC.
   1. (In her first phase of semi-retirement back in the U.S. after 25+ years leading Challenge Farm (Kenya) Cheri was injured while playing pickle-ball with friends. Hospitalized this weekend and will go to a physical therapy phase at a rehabilitation facility next week.)
6. Sanctity of Life Sunday is January 22nd ~ Join us in praise and worship as always but with a special request: Please print a few baby or toddler pictures of sons, daughters or grandchildren to lift before the Lord as we pray for expectant moms and for the little ones needing protection in 2023.
7. Ladies Luncheon on Sunday, February 12th ~ “Loving Jesus and Loving One Another” ~ fellowship hall luncheon with a meal provided for you ~ RSVP on Ladies Luncheon sign-up sheet on the Connections Table.
8. Every giver whose generosity supports and strengthen your church is appreciated more than words can say. As contribution records go out to all we share a rich legacy of visionary giving that the apostle Paul calls “an act of grace” in which we are all called to “excel” (in 2 Corinthians 8:3)
