We so appreciate Myles and Susan Stanley serving tomorrow and all who share our goal for every worshiper, visitor and friend to receive a warm welcome.  Team ministries are at the heart of our goal for a shared sense of mission to bless and build the Body of Christ. These include Kids classes and nursery teachers, media and worship team, security team and many volunteer acts of kindness that arise along the way. Thanks to each of you who serve, support and share!

Also, among the blessings of the past week were great testimonies and enriching ministry at the Living Grace Ministries convocation in Montgomery Village where Becky and I joined Lou Enoff and David and Diane Berry yesterday for a day of worship and teaching at Northgate Community Church.

On the theme of “Courage for Facing Difficult Times”, there were messages, worship, prayer and sharing that brought leaders from several area churches together with the staff of Living Grace Christian Academy. We so appreciate the gracious hospitality of Thurlow and Linda Switzer and the Living Grace Ministries team that made today a kind of a “retreat” for all of us. While there, Lou brought a praise report about how the Lord is using trained volunteers in Christian Farmers Outreach and David is ministering the Word there this morning. Meeting friends and co-laborers in God’s vineyard for the advance of the Gospel has many benefits, including the reminder that all churches seeking to encourage and equip the saints face similar challenges.

We’re excited to launch a new season for Brothers in Christ to fellowship over a good meal and begin a study in the Book of Genesis

 We’re tapping into a superb new series of courses offered by Hillsdale College, with a format that’s ideal for small group interaction.

Our first series, an overview of the Book of Genesis online is with Dr. Justin Jackson, Professor of English and Biblical Studies at Hillsdale College, with an intro session by Dr. Larry Arn, President of Hillsdale. This course is a six-week (one each Tues evening) opportunity to launch into Genesis, discovering together God’s plan for Creation, humanity, His covenants and the families He chose first to demonstrate His eternal love.

Ladies who have graciously offered to prepare meals for the group will need to know how many are attending, asap.
