Greetings friends

Join us for worship at 10:15 AM and our second monthly refreshments reception following. We’re so grateful for all who serve in ways that enrich the faith and fellowship of this church family. Connecting with guests and making new friends is a vital part of all we share in the calling to equip and encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Our Cafe Liberty (pre-service) times this month are on the 11th, 18th and 25th of June.

We continue also having name-tag Sunday on the first Sunday of each month. Thanks for picking up your name-tag in the lobby as we share in welcoming and encouraging friends in Christ.

Water Baptism Orientation Opportunities

At the heart of the Great Commission is an act of faith that is often called “following Jesus in baptism” because He led the way in an act of being immersed in water, explaining it as fulfilling a pattern for us.

In the disciple-making vision God sends to us and through us, water baptism is like an individual signpost of faith.  I think of believer’s baptism as more than simply a follow-up to faith but a living illustration of what it means to fully put our trust in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord.

For a brief orientation on the biblical and practical experience of baptism, I’ll have two evening opportunities to meet up and walk through the steps we take to follow the Lord in water baptism. One is a kids’ orientation to baptism and the other is for adults.

First, on Wednesday, June 28th at 6:30 PM, I welcome any parents with kids or teens who haven’t yet been baptized.

Secondly, on Wednesday, July 5th at 6:30 PM, we’ll have an orientation for anyone over 18 who hasn’t yet been baptized.  These sessions are open to anyone with questions about what it means to follow the Lord Jesus in baptism.

Offerings

It’s been quite a while since I’ve mentioned the ongoing needs for support. How deeply grateful we are for the generosity of each of you whose tithes and offerings are so consistent. In addition to General Fund offerings, a most timely way to help with extra offerings is to add funds to the Rainy Day fund. For various needs we’re gradually addressing here, the reserves in the Rainy Day fund are absolutely crucial. An extra offering to boost those reserves is of great value in this season in which we are replenishing after major project completed in 2021 and 2022.
[As is true for mission offerings or any other item beyond general fund offerings, you can print “Rainy Day” on the memo line of a check, and it will be added to that category.]
Welcome to all who can join us at a distance via Live-stream or via podcast.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
